Family Respite Care of Nevada, formerly known as the Northern Nevada R.A.V.E. Family Foundation, is a Nevada-based 501c3, nonprofit organization established in 1995. Since its inception, the organization has experienced a notable increase in the demand for respite care services across the state. This surge is attributed to the growing number of individuals with neurodiverse diagnoses who require additional support. In response to this demand, the organization is consistently working to enhance and expand its services, evident in the increasing number of families and children served each year. With 28 years of experience, we have become a significant force in the disability community. Despite its impactful work, the need for respite care services remains substantial, and the organization foresees continued growth in the years ahead.

We appreciate all the support from your organization and donors. It is so important for our young teens to have a safe place to socialize with peers. Throughout our journey (18 years) you have always been there to support us. I want your staff, all the wonderful supporters/donors to understand the impact you/they have for families. The special holiday events, that we probably otherwise would not be able to participate in. The special outings, where our kids need one-on-one support that you provide. Lastly for parents and caregivers that have a 365 days per year, 24 hour responsibility, to get a break and know that our kids are with people that understand and get them. A simple thank you doesn’t really seem like enough.
